Semni Valley Estate
Close to the bungalow, the land drops down. To the southwest, Semni Valley Estate spreads like a kaleidoscope of green sheltered by mountains and forests. Driving through the winding roads the factory producing the famous ‘Chinnar’ tea, comes into sight. Further down is a small township of the estate workers. A charming temple on a cliff-top is a beautiful sight along the way. The road leads farther into the nearby estates on the other end of the valley. A rivulet, with a quaint wooden bridge hung across its width, softly flows alongside the road, and suddenly vanishes into the greens.

Haileyburia Estate
Westward across the township of Elappara is the Haileyburia Estate on the Tumbi foothills, with the river Periyar as its spectacular backdrop. This plantation of fine tea is just an hour’s drive from the Top Bungalow. Large coffee and spice plantations border the eastern side of the estate.

Chinnar Estate
The estate, with its undulating terrains of cliffs and dune-shaped hills, spreads across the hills upto the Peermade-Munnar Road. Deep inside the estate are several waterfalls and breathtaking viewpoints.
