SOUKYA, the International Holistic Health Centre was started in January 2002, in Whitefield, Bangalore which is a residential holistic health care facility that incorporates different systems of alternative medicine and complementary therapies.

SOUKYA is the first of its kind in the world where different systems of medicines (Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Allopathy, Naturopathy, Siddha, Unani, etc) and more than 30 therapies from Acupressure to Zero Balancing are practiced under one roof.

SOUKYA is a residential holistic healthcare integrative medical facility which treats the person with a holistic approach - mind, body and spirit, in the context of his surroundings. SOUKYA is situated on a 30 acre organic farm on the outskirts of Bangalore.

Cows in the SOUKYA farm provide fresh organic milk to cater to guests. In order to promote a Holistic way of life SOUKYA has energy saving devices like solar water heating, drip irrigation, rain water harvesting etc.

Offers Wellness and relaxation Programs for health promotion and Medical Programs for Specific Disease conditions including rare conditions like the Brown Sequard Syndrome which has been unsuccessfully treated around the world including world renowned clinics.

A detailed Holistic health evaluation which lasts for a minimum of 2 hours takes into account the person's lifestyle habits, constitutional, nutritional assessment, sociological, emotional, physical and spiritual factors. Treatments are then designed by Dr. Issac Mathai based on individual needs. All treatment programs are medically supervised and imparted by well trained therapists.

Dr. Mathai hails from a family having a tradition of homeopathic practice spanning 4 decades. He graduated from the A.N.S.S. Medical College - Kerala , India and took his M.D. (Homeopathy) from the Hahnemann Post-Graduate Institute of Homeopathy, London . Following this he took his M.R.C.H. (London) and joined as a physician at Europe`s first and largest Holistic Health Care Clinic for over 10 years.

He studied Chinese Pulse Diagnosis and Acupuncture at the W.H.O. Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Nanking, China. He had undergone the Mind-Body Medicine training program of the Harvard Medical School, USA.

Dr.Mathai is assisted by his wife Suja Issac who is the Executive Director of SOUKYA. Having taught Nutrition at the Madras and Bangalore University colleges, she also heads the food and Nutrition Department.
